must have been something i ate.

last night i could not sleep and finally about 4am i went to sleep and had the strangest dreams all night long. one was that i witnessed an accident a fellow was thrown from his car on the highway. i could not get to him because of the traffic and kept yelling for him to lay still. then i had lunch... my pastel days are numbered

my mother

gypsy

my fondest wish when i was a child was to become a gypsy, they would drive through our town, the highway boardering on our back yard, i use to stand and watch the caravan drive by, of course protected by the fence. for some reason there was mystery and some fear about them. someone must have told me... glorious light.

inside the tent, sitting on a sleeping bag, listening to the patter of the rain hit the canvass, in the dim light and musty smelling air. outside is the beautiful wilderness, with dark storm cloud rolling in the heavens, the ground mushy with water that drips from every limb and leaf as i quietly... first full day in garden since spring arrived,

and it felt more like a summer day, hot and humid. we are expecting rain on thursday and it feels like it. planted 4 earth boxes today with onions and plan on using the remaining earth boxes to plant some herbs, if i put them by the back door then it will be quick and easy to get to when i cook.... well i got the kids off this morning after a good breakfast,

hated to see them go, but got busy and got the kitchen tidied up and started the laundry, we will have a few days without rain, so i am hanging my laundry on the line again. i love hanging my laundry out, i find it relaxing to hang it up, and feel the sun on my back and the breeze blowing the sheets...
