I just lost a "add a post," I saved it but can't locate it. Please Help!

Hi, I'm new here.  Trying to get oriented to blogging.  Trying to integrate the six months worth of writing that I've done just before coming to this network (I'm writing a book) with ongoing writing.  I just typed in a good transition piece in an "add post" or some such, to an existing blog.  I hit the "save" button, but it's not been posted in the blog.  Does it take some amount of time for the addition to "connect?"  Let's hope that's all it is.  But when I go back to the blog it says something like "Add post" and gives me a blank sheet.  Am I adding to what I just added this morning, or is it going to be a separate post?"

BN

Before I do any more reorganizing of my blogs, are you for sure these are the categories for a while?  Any plans to limit the number of blogs?

BN - You removed the Top 3 in each category???? I didnt see that!!!

I agree with Mara and PG.  Change it back!

We seemed to have room for everyone with the original 12 categories

I concur with antichrist, a significant beauty of BN was it put right in our face many diverse writing topics that traditionally I would not have read.  I enjoyed reading poems and tried my hand at it.  I have read something in every category many times because I saw it on the front page.  We need more recognition for the wide variety of talent showcased at BN, not less.  I respectfully ask that something be done to restore the three top blogs for each category.  Maybe BN has grown and needs a second page or ?  Thank You for considering my request.

Two Category choices per blog

Would it be possible to be able to select two choices for category as two of my blogs would fit a couple of categories well?

The #9 blog is completely missing - I mean, there's a blank spot there

Someone else commented on that in his own blog and I thought this was a good place to bring up the topic.

possible future model for bn

Comment management

IF I had a blog which anyone read and commented upon, I would edit the comments. A newspaper doesn't publish every letter they get nor do they publish every article which crosses the editor's desk. If I don't want litter on my blog, I'd toss it out. (That is, IF I had one they read...!).

I notice that as a blog submerges under newer ones, the comments tend to stop, and if they don't they aren't responded to, so they aren't being read. I see also that it is an empiric truth that after about the third or fourth comment the comments tend to be a micturition contest if they are from the same people. Maybe a CAP on the number of comments? If you want to continue commenting on an older blog, email the author, get a personal dialogue going. If it's abusive, address that via the ISP.

And maybe a section called "Critiques/Whining/B^*#ching" where the flamers can sit around and blow razzberries about others and be exempt from getting onto the "top blog parade", just exempt it. Their bucks would still support the site but their pollution,er,free discourse would be limited and they could just cut loose?Heck, anyone could duck in and vent and rant, then duck back up into the rest of the site and produce some good stuff.Sort like a "blogema", or "blogative".

Where did it go?

I signed up as a new "blog" today and thought I attached a "post."  However when I went back to look I was there as a blog and the name of my post was there . . . but no article(?)  I went back in to "write" and was going to do a new post, except that option was not there (of course it seems it never got my first post?).

What did I do wrong and how do I get my text under my post name?

ORIGINALLY POSTED IN TOWN SQUARE

DEAR BN STAFF

Ya' know how on the front page of BN you can click on "See more in new Posts" and then you get a page of new posts and at the bottom, there are more pages of new posts?

Well, would it be possible to do that with the comments page too? Right now there is only one page of the newest comments. I know I can check my own comments from the write page, but I think many people like looking over all the comments. I've gotten turned on to many blogs that way.

Something to think about for your multitude of future plans. Thanks!
