Okay, I give up - auto download is for rocket scientists

I have sold a number of goods on auto download over the years, mostly through Payloadz.com or via other similar utilities. Awhile back, I purchased a software program to utilize the PayPal IPN (instant payment notification) but it did not survive the upgrade of my webserver from PHP4 to PHP5... it...
