Exorcism and other outdated "facts"

I took this from a website: (st.michael.pair.com) I especially like the heading they used. Opinion, mythology and fairy tales all presented with the ominous title "The Facts!" So here it is........... THE FACTS: (It is okay to laugh at this title) "What is possession? Possession is when Satan enters... Sign in to see full entry.

Repeat after me --- Satan is not real -- Satan is not real

I think the most alarming thing that I see on a regular basis as a re-occuring theme on Blogit and sometimes in real life is when someone is speaking of Satan as a real corporeal entity. Speaking in absolute terms that this conceptual being not only exists but having an entire list of fabricated... Sign in to see full entry.

Will Christianity ruin the world? --- or will athiesm?

The truth of the matter is that we will never know. Aside from the wishful thinking of a few fervant followers of faith, Christianity is not sweeping the globe and soon to envelope it in the warm embrace of the word of Jesus. (that is a condensed paraphrase of the some of the contentions I have read... Sign in to see full entry.

The viral nature of religion

I think if I were to begin a movement or a new religion today I would most certainly have to add a viral element to it. There is no other way to insure that my new religion would become dominant and overwhelm the other "false" religions. All religions worth their salt have a viral element. It is... More missionary stuff --- some people will never get it.

What a waste of computer keystrokes. It seems the notion of providing aid without religious dogma is too complicated a concept for some. I have to say that I am more than a little disappointed in how this issue has polarized the same old divergent groups back into their own camps. Naiveté reigns... Sign in to see full entry.

The Shelf Life of a so called, self proclaimed Christian

I have written on this subject before and I expect this posting to have much the same results as the first time around in that it will probably be completely ignored. It is a given that people must believe in something, many must include a form of worship in their beliefs, this is also a given. It... Sign in to see full entry.

How I help out at the church.

Ha ha ha, you think this headline is a Hoax but it is anything but. I help out around a churche most of the year but especially at Christmas time. Why? Why oh why does an agnostic hang out at the churche around Christmas? Cause they beg me too. Literally beg. And you know how I helped the Catholic... Sign in to see full entry.

ExStud2006 wrote: "I think it's too general to say Christianity is intolerant. I think a lot of Christians are plenty tolerant. Those who are not are usually not in control of governments (although the Christian right would like to change that, yikes!). It also depends how you define Christianity.... An extension of yesterday's post and some thoughts from Kooka's comments

In my posting yesterday I was leading up to why I think that modern day missionary work is a dangerous relic of the past. I am no expert on this subject as I have never done any missionary work and know but a handful of missionaries personally. All I have to go on as a source of reference is having... Talking about religion with Americans

Certainly I would need some sort of psychic evaluation if I ever were to think that any meaningful discussion could come from this blog posting. I know that up front from having been here before. So the question arises: why waste my time like this? I have no good answer for that question as it... Sign in to see full entry.
