Still feeling the glow!
Got some photos from my sojourn in the sun. My friend's condo, where I stayed, is an art gallery of gorgeous Haitian paintings, sculptures and crafts. The colours are phenomenal! Those lazy, hazy crazy days of summer…
Except it is not really summer is it? But it sure feels like it here. Had a lazy day in South Florida yesterday. In the morning I walked along the beach, close to the surf, my capris drenched with salt water. The sand is soft here with nary a sharp shell to be seen. There is some kind of ocean weed...

Simplicity
Squeak! Squeak! Is that a bird? I’m sitting on a bench in the middle of a Japanese Garden, surrounded by deep green, rubbery foliage interspersed with willowy finer species. Above me looms a thicket of bamboo. That’s from where the high-pitched sound emanates. My eyes follow the shiny round stalks...

House of glass
We stepped over the threshold and into a masterpiece of art. Last night we visited a cottage by the sea, where my friend’s girlfriend is living, a tiny, but stupendous abode. Glass! Windows surrounded the house on all three sides with the surf just feet beyond a wrap-around driftwood deck. A living...

Here comes the sun!
It’s beautifully sunny here today but still terrifically cold. Nice contrast? Perhaps! Last weekend I received an invitation to fly down to Florida for 5 nights of sand, surf and (maybe) sunshine.
