Sleigh Bells my ass.

It is winter out here in the hinter land turned frosty white in the middle of the night. The snow shovel catches on a crack and breaks my mother’s son’s back. Gray skies have laid siege and my spirits are near surrender as I inventory my Christmas booty a fruitcake and a Peta embroidered suspender.... Sign in to see full entry.

Bah, humpbug.

I’ve been having thoughts… And they’re not nice, mostly of snow piling up on my roof and roads covered with deadly ice. Someone’s going to squeeze down my chimney and give toys with Wal*Mart bar codes on them. The only bar code I need is the password to a speak-easy. Do they still exist? Now in this... Christmas Flakes.

White And quiet They fall everywhere Transforming grey brown fall Into a whitescape Where rosy cheeked children Build snowmen and slide Down hills laughing All the way. Sign in to see full entry.

A Thanksgiving repast.

For it was truly Over the hill and through the woods To Grandmas house we went. Eating sumptuous food And sharing family Was our main intent. When at last the stuffing Was stuffed and the olives All gone And the dishes Packed into the dishwasher We sat and caught up On lives distant and near Most of... Sign in to see full entry.

Echoes in the vast cavern of Time.

Our lives, floating, floating, making their way through the corridor of eternity. As we pass, will the ripples of our lives be lost in the cacophony of the moment? Or somehow be preserved, an indelible part of the pattern that is existence. That is not for us to know nor can we ever know nor should... Sign in to see full entry.
