I'm Still Here--I had to Have Surgery

Hi, everyone. This past month was a very difficult one healthwise. Culminating in surgery two weeks ago. Which has taken care of a long standing issue. I just need to heal & recover. It will be awhile before the full realization hits that it's over, since, I had dealt with it for so many years. Not... Sign in to see full entry.

Technology is Great, Until...

It decides to stop working properly. I use my laptop for my writing, for pet groups on Facebook (three of which I'm an admin--two I created), keeping in contact with friends & family, researching information. Those are the main things. I'm glad to be able to do those things. I enjoy them. It's nice... Sign in to see full entry.

My First Book--Shiloh and the Other Worlds: Xaryneando

Hi, everyone. Hope that you're all well. One reason I'm not around as much as I'd like to be, it's been a tough time for awhile healthwise. Also, I'm involved in writing six different series. The first book (of the first series) was published last Mon. I'm so proud of this one. Well, I'm sure I will... Sign in to see full entry.

The Five Essentials of a Versatile Wardrobe for Women

I'm mainly an observational/conversational & creative writer. I've been trying my hand at articles. Only two, so far. Including the one I shared about getting a pet. I had an acquaintance give me an outline & I fleshed it out. I'm pretty casual myself. Like clothes, but, not a fashionista. Though, I... Sign in to see full entry.

Capture the Moment--White Throated Sparrow

I really enjoy & appreciate nature photos, including, those with animals in them. Those are some of my favorite posts to check out here on Steemit. Unfortunately, I don't really have a talent for taking pics & usually don't think about taking them, except, at the animal shelter. There's a fellow... Sign in to see full entry.

Five Things to Quit Right Now

I do well with the first four. The 5th gets me sometimes. When things are difficult & seems like there's no way through it (at the time), I can over analyze & get anxious. Are you working on any of these, if so, which one(s)? Sign in to see full entry.

Things to Consider Before Adopting a Pet

I'm mainly an observational/conversational & creative writer. I have been practicing writing articles. This is my first one. THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE ADOPTING A PET Today, around the world, selecting a pet has become so commonplace that almost every household has at least one. People have animal... Matters of Privacy

Though I'm open about some things, I'm fairly private overall. I have to feel more comfortable with & connected to someone to share certain aspects of myself. As mentioned previously, I'm inquisitive by nature & love to learn about & understand, pretty much, everything. However, I do respect other's... Sign in to see full entry.

How to be Mentally & Emotionally Strong

12 good points to ponder. Not always easy. It may take several attempts to get it right. Each one of us will relate to those differently. I added the emotionally, as, I believe that's important as well. You'll need to click on the quote to enlarge it. Sign in to see full entry.

Father Knows Best--or Does He?

Father Knows Best was a show that ran from 1954 to 1960, starring Robert Young & Jane Wyatt. It was about a head of household coping with everday situations with his growing family. It was before my time. I was born in 1968. Though, I have seen clips. This post isn't about that show, but, about who... Sign in to see full entry.

What is the Glass--Half Empty or Half Full?

A pessimist is the half empty type. An optimist sees it as half full. I'm a realist. I see a glass Whether it's half empty or full depends on the situation. As a realist, I see things as they are (will clarify, if I'm not sure, to try to avoid misunderstandings), not, as they could be or I'd like... Sign in to see full entry.

The Movie of Your Life

Most of us would probably say, our life isn't interesting enough to be made into a book or movie. No one would want to read or see it. It's not even interesting to ourselves & we're the ones going through it. It's probably like other things. One man's junk is another man's treasure. Someone might... Sign in to see full entry.

Favorite Authors from Childhood

I have several favorite authors, which I’ll share about in later posts. More of those were from when I was a teen up until now. I always look for recommendations. Which I’ll also request in future. This is about the two authors that were important to me growing up. The first being, Judy Blume. She... Sign in to see full entry.
