digressions on the dreams of an able-bodied mind:
On the night before last, as I slept, I dreamed of a cushioned staircase winding its way into the heavens to a great height where a bridge, also cushioned (but narrow, cloistered, and confined) spanned a great river. I ascended this stair, but soon backed down to let a pair of travelling couples...
