The Relatives

I am bushed after meeting Mary Frances’s relatives. I had a rough night and missed my meeting this morning because I was exhausted. Then I rolled to MF’s house to wait. Her cousin, Kathleen, arrived first and was really nice. Her aunt was nice, too… even buying me a sandwich from Subway when they... Sign in to see full entry.

Mary Frances's House VI

I am kind of weirded out. MF's cousin actually had us locked out of the house and fought with Jen and Paige. I'm glad we got all of MF's personal/political stuff out. The Uganda boxes are still there as is Mary Frances's mobility equipment, but I am going over to smooth things over tomorrow and meet... Sign in to see full entry.

Mary Frances's House V

Came home early and feeling really drained. We just couldn't work anymore. Cleaned out the medicine cabnet and food shelf. Looked through Mary Frances's books-- and was really impressed, she had work in like 8 books! Jen and Paige went to the MF's camp today and are stopping over later to tell us... Mary Frances's House IV

Today we finally cleared out MF’s pantry, fridge, and freezer(s- she’s got 2!) entirely. I lost count of how many food boxes Laura carted off to her car. Many people will eat from Mary Frances, which would’ve made her happy. She loved to feed people. I, myself, took home a freezer full of frozen... Sign in to see full entry.

Mary Frances's House III

Sorted three boxes of food from MF's cabinet for the survival center. Olivia helped until 9:15, putting cans into boxes and fetching boxes from Shop and Shop in her car. Robin picked them up after her shift today (supposedly). Three medium-sized boxes and still going! Cleaned out the bathroom with... Sign in to see full entry.

Mary Frances's House II

The sorting began in earnest today. We cleaned the fridge out-- smelly, smelly, smelly-- and I worked on the pantry with Olivia. We sorted 2 boxes for the food pantry, half a bag of unedibles, and we both took some for ourselves. I need to get more boxes to finish of the job. Found lots of medical... Mary Frances's House

Rolled the.79 miles between Mary Frances’s house and mine today with Elaine in my back up power chair and Robin my PCA under moody skies. We almost missed the turn-off because the sign was so small, but I saw it and we rolled into MF’s complex. Then it was time to dig for the key. We looked in every... Sign in to see full entry.

Update II

Based upon my comments and inbox, I figured I'd better let folks know I was doing okay. I spent yesterday on the phone with MF's friends from around the country, telling them know the sad news. I spoke to her aunt, who claimed the body, and was relieved that she seemed nice and open to letting MF's... Sign in to see full entry.

Update: I'm More Okay than Exspected

After my learning of my friend's death last night, I went to bed around 3:15 AM and didn't sleep until after 4:00 AM, but I woke up around 8 AM anyway. I had this burning desire to perposeful; my typical reaction to death (I always feel like I need to complete the deceased person's share of social... Sign in to see full entry.

Red Rage II

I have a full stomach (ham sandwich, cheetos, avocado, and OJ) and my mind is clear after sleeping something like 15 hours in the past 36. My stomachache is a bit better. I've checked the mail and brought groceries (all healthy, except for 2 containers of Edy's ice cream which was on sale). Now, I... Sign in to see full entry.
