Alpha's play date
Today we took Alpha to our friends' house. They have two dogs, and the three all romp and play. It was so good to see him have so much fun! He came home and layed on the ground for hours panting. It's easy to spot a content dog.

Spazzy at the vet
Thank the lord! One of my animals not labeled vicious! Spaz was good for the whole visit, so I gave him a big pile of catnip when we came home:) I'll get the results in a few days, it should be the final word that he is no longer diabetic, hopefully.

Teeth-brushing kitties
The cats have no source of teeth cleaning, now that all they can eat is one specific wet food. I'm supposed to wipe my mean kitty's gums with a wet washcloth twice a week or so. Hairball/Diabetic kitty 101
Spaz was having some hairball problems recently. With a normal regular kitty, this is no prob! Buy some hairball chewy treats, bam! Good to go. Even though Spaz is not technically diabetic anymore, the vet said do not (!) feed him anything besides his wet food. The hairball meds are carbo-packed, so...

The Horror of the Vet
Today was Alpha's annual vet appointment, and it was ridiculous. Alpha hates to have his nails clipped, so it ruins the whole visit. He gets snippy and screams, so the vet had to muzzle him for the nail clipping last time. Since that is now on his file, he gets a muzzle before they will touch him....

Update on Spaz
