Pass the electronic plate!

Those television shows with evangelicals who are praying and crying for money to keep doing "God's Work" are so obviously shams. You can send $25 dollars to get a free book, if you send $50, the evangelistic slime-ball will even autograph it for you. What amazes me is that they actually fish in the... Let's look at the Iraqi Religious leaders for a moment . . .

They don't get it and we, or, I should state, our political leaders, are in danger of playing their game. Islamic Clerics in Iraq have announced that if their new constitution is too liberal in allowing women rights or if the religious are not given more than their share of power, or if their are... Follow the Money . . .

Religion is big business. Not just the hundreds of millions The Passion of the Christ will make, or the billions Shysters for Christ will wrangle from the gullible followers, but the side-show sales that abound. Can you believe they are selling replica nails for $15 a piece? Heck, you could go down... Sign in to see full entry.

Shams in Fictional Additions to Scripture . . . .

It is most interesting that people interpret into scripture things that aren't there. Such happened in a response to the earlier blog on this topic with on comment stating that Jesus did what the Jehova Witnesses do, going door to door to people's homes. There is no verse that I know of in the Bible... Sign in to see full entry.

Those Poor Door-to-Door People

who hawk their religions, primarily the Jehova Witnesses and the Mormons. Do they not realize they are the foot-soldiers of a lost cause, of a corporate entity that abuses it's spiritual minions? When one knocks, I try politeness on the first try, then get increasingly rude as they persist in trying... Sign in to see full entry.

Religion's Political Sham

People in our country, particularly the strongly religious, are sheep, nothing makes of a more useless citizen than one who refuses to think for himself or herself. Too many voters allow their pastors to decide for them for whom they should vote. Sermons on political issues are preached, and... Sign in to see full entry.

Render Unto Caesar?

The well-known "leaders" of Christianity, Pat Robertson, Earnst Angley, Robert Schuller, Jerry Falwell, etc., must consider themseves to be "Caesar" since they are always asking their followers to render their money unto them. You've got to say one thing for that infamous group, they sure know how... Sign in to see full entry.

One of the Shammers . . . .

Is our own (I live in Hampton Roads, VA) Pat Robertson. He is always asking for money, has made some really off the wall pronouncements, such as God told him Bush would win the election, and he has been involved in some shady dealings that keep popping up in the news. Sign in to see full entry.

The Greatest Sham in Religion is its Fundamentalist Aspects.

There is no rationality in the actions of those who claim to know the very mind of God, and then have the audacity to think God can't control his realm so they want to help throug the tools of legislation, torture, arrest, ridicule and war. Sign in to see full entry.
