Unlikely Tourist Region

A story in this morning's Virginian-Pilot tells of the DMZ dividing North and South Korea as an unlikely but popular tourist stop. Believe it or not, there is even a gift shop at the DMZ. There are also strict rules, such as one may not talk to, gesture at or otherwqise try to engage North Korean personnel assigned to their side of the DMZ. Who would want to? Bullet Proof Vests . . . .

... that aren't? Can you imagine being a police officer on patrol and hearing that news? Apparently the company is not willing to rectify the situation without it costing the police forces involved money to "up-grade" the affected vests.
