MLK Assassination, Writing Hmong, the Blues, and Mental Aslyums
Anniversary of the assassination of Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., in Memphis, TN (1968). His friend, Ralph Abernathy, remembered being in the room at the Lorraine Motel when King was shot on the balcony. Long afterward, Abernathy said he remembered the smell of the aftershave he had on his hands....
