I have an idea...I think?
Most of the conflict between the West and the East is due to ignorance and because each side doesn't understand (and sometimes don't want to) understand the other side's culture and why they believe in certain things they way they do. Now why hasn't e.g. somebody from the Muslim culture ever consider writing a book explaining the basics of that culture for those that might be interested in the Western World - something like Muslim culture for dummies.
