Book of Lamentations, in spite of the current news, is triumphant: shalom
Shabbat Shalom! There is hope always, no matter how worried or hope-less we feel, because of this recurring characteristic of God: "according to Thy loving kindness." I first encountered the phrase in David's Psalm (51), Israel's great King, as he repented for what he did to Bathsheba and her husband (Uriah, killed on the frontlines, as David sneakily wanted that so he could marry Bathsheba, though he was married already!)
