The Second Season

Kudos to the MFL for their week 17 performance. We got great individual performances, close games, and overtime. There was a time when teams used to mail it in if there was nothing to play for on the last weekend of the season. No one did today. Good or bad, everyone gave their best. And now it is... Justice

The great Deacon Jones once said that if someone does something to you on a football field or team than you must serve justice. I guess that this would apply if a teammate were to do something to you, also. Well in "Karma Bowl II" Philadelphia Eagle QB Jeff Garcia served justice to former temmate... Merry Christmas!

First, to piggyback saul relative, this is the worst NFL season that I can ever remember. The games are excitiing, but mediocrity rules the day. But the MFL, as I'll call it, has given us something to look forward to. The Iggles went into Jimmy Hoffa Stadium and beat Big Blue today to move into sole... Sign in to see full entry.

East Coast Bias

Went to Iggles-'Skins game today. Philly won 21-19. "Fly Eagles Fly" could be heard throughout Fedex Field while burgundy and gold fans burned. Security was beefed up. It was a typical NFC East rivalry game. To me, this is what makes the NFC East the best division in the NFL. The absolute hatred... Sign in to see full entry.

Big Blue, Boo Hoo!

I know that Reggie Bush scored four TD's. I know that the Titans beat the Colts on a 60 yard field goal. I know that Da Bears clinched the NFC North. The Patriots were flat, but beat Detroit. I know that LT scored his 25th and 26th TD's. And, having NFL Network, I did see the Bengals defense almost... Sign in to see full entry.

The Changing Times

A lot has changed in pro football since I started watching it over 30 years ago. I'll try to thread some of these changes while reviewing this weeks games. I watched Tennesse QB Vince Young bring the Titans back from 21 down in the fourth quarter to beat the Giants 24-21(okay, Big Blue fan, step... Sign in to see full entry.

The Other Guys

There are more things happening in the NFL this season besides T.O. and "America's Team", LJ, LT, Tom Brady, the Colts, the Stillers downfall, Brett Favre, Ocho Cinquo, the Funk Soul Brotha's Blues, Da Bears, etc. And, since I have finally had a couple of weeks to actually sit down and watch a few... Two Sides

I'm watching Tiki Barber and the New York Giants take on the Chicago Bears and it got me to thinking about how people are reacting to his impending retirement at the end of this season. Along with a few other things that are happening in the NFL. There are a lot of people who feel that Barber is... Sign in to see full entry.

What Used To Be

An old rivalry was revisited today as the Dallas Cowboys came to Landover, Maryland to battle the Washington Redskins. With apologies to other NFL teams, the Redskin-Cowboy rivalry was once the best in all of football. From the mid-seventies to the early nineties, there was none better. Not really,...
