We had worked together for a time at the ballroom dance studio. I thought it very strange how homely she was for a dance instructor. Very nice, of course, but homely as all get out. It was an unfortunate time of transition for me. My dad had suffered serious heart attacks, and my schooling had suffered due to my new outlook on life.
