Byung-Hyun Kim
I think the Red Sox are fortunate to have Byung-Hyun Kim. I also think his acquisition is a testament to Theo Epstein. Last year, the Sox needed help in the bullpen (i.e. a closer) and enjoyed a wealth of talent at third base. (i.e. Shea Hillenbrand and Bill Mueller). Epstein looked at that...

On gms theo epstein and danny ainge
Boston has two exciting young gms these days Danny Ainge and Theo Epstein who it should be exciting to watch. I like the way Theo handles himself. He does not seem to worry about when each player's contract runs out. He handles the business at hand and expects his players to play like professionals....

The attitudes of Nomar and Pedro
Nomar Garciaparra is not terribly happy with the Red Sox management as we speak. In his mind they traded him last winter even though that deal fell through and he is brooding about that prospect. Pedro's return
Pedro Martinez would have done his team and Red Sox Nation in general a favor if he had shown up on time and happy for spring training but of couse some mundane matter got in the way. Supposedly he has a sick member of the family. Well, maybe that's the case. At least the sox acquired Curt Schilling...

Dust settling after A-rod deal
After the dust settled and the shock has worn off, I don't think the Yankees really needed Alex Rodriquez and I don't think he'll improve the Yankees all that much. Alfonso Soriano was a young player of enormous potential and he hurt the Sox as much as any Yankee in the last two or three years. At...

Sox have more problems Arod a Yank
I thought the Red Sox had a fairly productive winter by signing Curt Schilling, but the damn Yankees did what GM Theo Epstien couldn't manage. They coralled Alex Rodriquez. The Sox were afraid Nomar would jump after next season and they would be left with nothing so they tried to deal him to the...

The Prospects for the Red Sox in 2004
At twenty-nine years old, Theo Epstein the general manager of the Boston Red Sox is younger than half the players on his team's roster but he has baseball knowledge beyond his years. He does not stand still when he thinks his team needs help: he tries to fix whatever he thinks is wrong. Last summer...
