The Sox have taken three giant steps backward in the last
two days. They now have perhaps five games left with the Yankees for the rest of the year and have backed themselves into the position of absolutely having to win all those games. If the Sox don't win the AL East crown, they have precious little chance of making it to the AL Playoffs this year....

Thre Red Sox breathed new life into their hopes for
the season when they managed to sweep three games from the Baltimore Orioles over the week end. The sweep left them one game behind the New York Yankees in the AL East.
