The Patriots beat the Green Bay Packers who did not play that well in the

first half, at the end of which they trailed 21-0. Brett Favre, a gallant quarterback for the last fifteen years or so, looked a little long in the tooth and short in the boot as he had trouble hitting wide open receivers because of two sprained ankles and a groin pull.
