Credit card debt

I was on the MTA the other day and I met a guy reading a book so, being

a little bit of a writer, (or at least a miserable blogger) I asked him what he was reading and we fell into a conversation during which he told me he ran a staffing company. Since I am looking for a job, I asked him if he needed any help and he gave me his card, or more specifically wrote out a... Sign in to see full entry.

I had a fun day yesterday. I went into a local temp agency and brought a r

resume which I had emailed to them but I think which had been reduced to spam. At the agency, I took an office skills test at which I scored an 89%, better than 80 per cent of the people who took the test and I think I could detect the few mistakes I made and could have got one or two more questions... Damn! Life is complicated. I have been trying to change my internet

connection from Comcast to Verizon but that is a task as complicated as untying the Gordian Knot without benefit of a sword. I want to save fifteen dollars a month but that is not easily attainable. Right now, my Comcast account holds all my emails and I will have to print the more valuable ones... Sign in to see full entry.

Yesterday, I made a mistake when I bought gas. First, I was confused when

the pump demanded that I enter the zip code of the billing address of the credit card I was using. Stupidly, I thought they wanted the credit card company's address zip code. Then I figured out that they wanted my home address zip code. I am not the brightest light on the Christmas tree. At first, I... Sign in to see full entry.

Credit cards suck!! I have myself to blame as well.

I kind of showed interest in this bullshit about the government giving me a $25,000 grant that I would never have to repay and all I would have to do is pay $3.95 on my Discover card. I did not agree but a few weeks later I received a phone call from an Indian accented voice which offered me the... Sign in to see full entry.

This is incredible! My bank just sent me somebody else's statement.

I was examining the misstatements and wondering whether somebody had stolen my identity when I realized that I was looking at somebody else's statement!!! They had a lot of money too. I can't imagine what a more criminally inclined person would do with such information. I suppose I should bring the... Sign in to see full entry.

I am in a quandry right now. My car needed repairs in the A/C and a change

of oil so I brought it to the dealership on Friday August 4th. They said I also needed work on the brakes. I had left the car with them for four hours before they gave me this information. When I requested the oil change, they said they that would take them much longer and I would have to leave the... Sign in to see full entry.

Yesterday, I discovered I had run out of checks just when my

rent was due. I have another bank account that covered the amount of my rent so I drew a check from that account instead. The checks that had run out had lasted about a year and a half but if I could start paying for stuff on line I could possibly never have to use checks again or they at least... I became miffed yet again yesterday when I received my notice from the

Chase Visa company. I sent them a fifty dollar check payment that they received 6/13 for a $43.69 debt due on 6/11 and charged me a fifteen dollar late fee and a one dollar finance charge. I had also run up a thirty dollar gas bill, so according to their calculations, I owed them $37.62, but... Sign in to see full entry.

I worked three days last week at the Microsoft Convention held at

the new Convention Center in Boston. This building is the most massive I have ever been in. One can walk for miles along the corridors. The temp agency called me and I pledged my services for $11 an hour, a reasonable rate, perhaps even more than reasonable. I have a limp so that curtailed some of... Sign in to see full entry.
