The Doors
The Doors were an incredible band. Jim Morrison was a creative force in the history of rock. He was called Dionysus by his fellow band mates. Their best song was Touch Me which was a brilliant symphony of rock that included all kinds of instruments. Horns, strings and the great Doors band...

Dire Straits
Mark Knopfler is the chief Dire Strait and he is enormously talented. He is a guitar player and film music composer and the main songwriter for Dire Straits. The Sultans of Swing is probably their biggest hit but they have had many others as well. Money for Nothing was also a huge hit for them....

Bob Marley and the Wailers
Bob Marley was a legend in his own right before he became known as the father of Ziggy Marley. His band was the Wailers and they had enormous raggae hits in the seventies. No Woman No Pride was perhaps their biggest hit. Jamming was another hit. Would You Be Loved? Buffalo Soldier were other hits....

Strummer played guitar and sang. Mick Jones also sang and played guitar and Paul Simonon played bass....

Robert Lamm was Chicago's...

Marshal Crenshaw
Marshal Crenshaw is an energetic Buddy Hollyesque type of musician. On stage, he has energy and keeps pumping out the songs one after another. I think he's great. He has a similar format on almost all his songs rather like the Beatles when they first started out, and this format is about as...

David Bowie
David Bowie is wonderful. A talented musician, he is also a capable actor. He has made his main mark in music though and he is a mainstay in the history of rock n' roll. Probably one of his most symbolic songs is the song Changes because he has changed his image and they type of music he has played...

The Byrds, Roger Mc Guinn et al.
The Byrds were always headed by Roger Mc Guinn who, with his musical brilliance and charisma, always attracted terrific musicians into this band. Stephen Stills and David Crosby also played in this band and they had more permanent members like Gene Clark and Chris Hillman. Clarence White also played...
