The unwanted gift

Blessed, unique, she was chosen from amongst all others by the trembling hand of destiny to be the gift for those who could see, and she stood tall in painful humility far from the garden of colorful flowers where she longed to be. Radiant, her petals, delicate and transparent, reflected the light... Sign in to see full entry.

The Armoir - 1900

I t stands tall and through the day it watches all, the big, the small. If it could talk... if it could tell about the things it's seen, the things its heard, better than anyone it would be able to tell what people did when no one saw, when no one heard...what people said and most important, what... The little gypsy

He painted her long ago... using a photo of me as a child as a model for the face. It has hung in my staircase ever since, witnessing the birth of all my children... my happy moments and my sad ones, always sitting there, in her canvas. Her amber eyes awash with tears... her reddish/golden curls... Sign in to see full entry.

Sometimes, here in Florida, without prior notice, everything starts getting darker and the air seems to get drenched with the intense smell of imminent rain. Most times the rain comes in from the west... and it has traveled a long way to get to me... through the everglades vastness...through rivers... Sign in to see full entry.

Perception, Something to think about...

"PERCEPTION.....Something To Think About.... Washington, DC Metro Station on a cold January morning in 2007. A man with a violin played six Bach pieces for about 45 minutes. During that time approx. 2 thousand people went through the station, most of them on their way to work. After 3 minutes a... Sign in to see full entry.

The rock

A rock sat by a river under the shadow of a magnificent tree. Its rough, dull surface contrasted with the luscious foliage, green and brilliant, of the forest that surrounded it. Humble and unique in its dark silence, it rose from the grass that covered the floor, its ugliness highlighted by the... Sign in to see full entry.

Dear friends

The beginning of another year is always a time to reflect... and reflect I do... I go over things I did or did not do the year that just ended and make myself crazy thinking of the infinite possibilities of the year starting up. And so, in the past, I have made all kinds of promises... to myself, to... Sign in to see full entry.
