I know now what not to do

Even as the chilly winds of sadness wrap their arms around me and my soul grows cold, I know beyond a doubt I shall endure this night. I know how to swim the rapids: I drift and I drift until the raging stops, and the still waters shall reflect my resurrected smile the misty clouds, the white-capped hills and the shining grass atop the dusty earth.
