Blowers Are a Menace

My nose is so stuffy! It's driving me nuts. I'm really, really tired of being sick. This year has been the worst for me being sick, and I want it to be over with. Now. Everyone says it's the weather. I don't think so. I think it's leaf blowers. Nobody rakes leaves anymore; they blow them all into a... Sign in to see full entry.

Working Hard With a Stuffy Nose

Yeah, I'm posting this at half-past midnight. I'm working really hard to get my living room into some semblance of order tonight. But I needed to take a writing break. And a breathing break. My nose is so stuffy. It's making me crazy. I think it's the weather. It's rainy and warm -- which is stupid... Sign in to see full entry.

Coming Apart at the Seams

The weekend is coming. Thank goodness. I'm overwhelmed with stuff to do at work and home, and I really just want to crash! I'm reading a very interesting novel... the first English-language novel: Pamela, or Virtue Rewarded, by Samuel Richardson. It's somewhat tedious in places, but the story is... Amazingly Busy

I will be very glad when three things happen: 1) When February 1 gets here, and my coworker returns to the office. I don't begrudge her the time away, but I miss her terribly -- especially as I am covering her desk and mine too while she's gone, and the workload is sometimes obscene. The OM did... Why I Don't Just Sell the House

A lot of people ask why, with the work that needs to be done on the house, I don't just sell it and buy one in better shape. There are several reasons, actually. This house is in an ideal location for me. Five minutes from work, five minutes from mom and dad's, six minutes from my borther's, ten... Sign in to see full entry.

If I Only Had ...

I dunno what. I feel vaguely discontented today. It's probably hormones. I just want something, but I don't know what. And I wonder, maybe, if it's that I'm tired of my problems. The house, the kids, the ex, the job, my own hang-ups... it's a never-ending treadmill of stupidity. The house is my own... Sign in to see full entry.

Clearing Up Confusion

Well, it seems that there's not a lot to be done, at this point, about the ex's most recent shenanigans. The kids' insurance was cancelled in December, and he should have his new insurance on February 1, which is the soonest I'd be able to get them on my policy... so that's a pointless move. Can't... My Kids Have No Insurance! and Other Ex-Spouse Shenanigans

My ex changed jobs and managed to completely bollix things up with the kids' insurance. That's the short story. The long story, told from my perspective as events unfolded today, is far more interesting! -------------------- I went to the pharmacy today at lunch-time to fill the children's... Very Tired

What a busy day! The office was jumping like a bag of crickets... I barely had a chance to breathe all day. And I had a chiropractor's appointment right after work, so there was a good bit of rushing about afterward. Once we got home, I had clothes to fold, bills to pay, and other chores to do.... Fragmented Days

Days like today make me crazy. I'd made all sorts of plans for how today was going to go. It was a day off, after all, and we had nothing planned except for one meeting that I had to attend at lunch-time. I was just going to drop the kids of at mom's for lunch and a nap while I did the meeting, and... Sign in to see full entry.
