The Quest of Althazon

I tell you now a tale true, Although known by very few, Gloried days, and some to rue, The quest of Althazon. I was still young by count of time, Health and humor were still mine, And in my heart I held a rhyme, The quest of Althazon. I sought a quest oh to pursue, For that is what I ought to do, My... Rage

Random rage boils within me, Primal instinct sharpens my claws, Blinded by desires, I can't see, Internal struggle to follow laws. Hold on now to vow's unbroken, Feline history does explain, Goodness reigns, although unspoken, Give in not to anger's bane. Like a whispered breeze of springtime,... Sign in to see full entry.

Matted

It was a bad fur day. Some days a tongue can only do so much. My reflection in my water dish caused my unmatted patches of fur to stand on end. What started out as a bad reflection, only got worse. Birds were too swift a-flight, and mice were too quick to find a hole. The Bright One lay hidden... Sign in to see full entry.

Raving

As I sit her slowly waiting, With my clenched teeth slowly grating, While I feel like I am fainting, Slipping down from chair to floor. In my chest I hear a pounding, Fueled by my minds wild bounding, To thoughts diverse, confounding, While control goes out the door. It is just that here unknowing,... Sign in to see full entry.

Plato's Cat

As I lay at the foot of the master, Dark bound though he be, I contemplate his thoughts, Upon reality. Shadows cast by fires light, Upon a cavern's wall, What is real and what is not, If anything at all. Claws and teeth are pointed sharp, Birds are meant for prey, Mice and rats for eating, But only... The River

The rains descend from heavens high, Like dreams upon my head, They fill my body with renewed hopes, As I flow between my beds. Sometimes a rush, sometimes a calm, Sometimes a wondrous fall, Sometimes a stagnant emptiness, Which is the worst of all. Many see, but few look deep, To what beneath the... The Traveler

A traveler came wandering by, Thought and sorrow lined his face, The marks of woe rent his garments, As he approached at his relentless pace. I ventured forth to question him, What could make him troubled so, That his every move, his walk, each breath, Spoke so much a tale of woe. I asked him,... Sign in to see full entry.

Path

As I padded slowly along on a long stretch of sandy beach, I chanced to look back over my tail and saw my paw prints leading away behind me. A long straight and regular path disappearing into the distance. I thought upon the smoothness and the regularity of my steps, how each was so evenly spaced. I... Sign in to see full entry.

Clouds

Bits of fur and fluff in Bright Ones sky. Sometimes they block our view of the Bright One, as they casually wander by. Sometimes they are few, white, soft, and harmless. Sometimes they are dark and angry, completely blocking our view of the Bright One and his kingdom. Are they creatures such as us,... Sign in to see full entry.

Conversations with My Tail

"Tail." "Yes Little One." "All cats have tails!" "Yes, this is true." "Do all cat's tails speak to them as you speak to me?" "All cats do have tails, and all tails do speak to their cats, however few cats hear what is spoken. Those that do hear, do not always understand." "I don't always... Sign in to see full entry.
