ONE DAY AT A TIME
I have some dental work scheduled for Monday (no holiday here in Canada - we had ours last weekend), three extractions of teeth that have broken and are doing more harm than good. Hopefully it won't be a big deal, but I will probably not be around much for a couple days. Then my current subscription...

"ANDY"
Only two weeks left, give or take a few, and my current subscription with Blogit will expire. Being in the hospital for six months last year due to the cancer (now all clear), followed by a very adverse reaction to the chemotherapy kind of derailed whatever plans we'd made for 2012, blogging wise...

ARE WE OKAY NOW?
This past week was the week that was for our family. Nothing really melodramatic, but far from routine, that is for sure. My older daughter ended up in hospital for most of the week after complications with her meds. I can't go into much detail, but it was again quite evident that if a person...

ANDY AND THE WORD "TERMINAL"
It was a mostly sunny day here today, but a cool mid 40'sF. was all the sun could muster. Liz and I drove up to a small city on the lake (Huron) to deliver the wheelchair I had been using but no longer need, to "Andy", who used to do a lot of painting in the rental complexes Liz manages. We had been...

YET
Winter falls into the river, the river rushing along rock walls, up and down dips, white water winding into a deep green aquamarine. Smooth silver boulders stand, islands in the cold current, and they will stand forever. Snow sneaks along river's banks, deepens, fills forests, threatens to fall...

DRESSED
At birth my Mother dressed me in the world, with the world, which I have worn ever since, despite fraying sleeves and tightening (or loosening) belts that I can deal with, until the main button pops... and the world falls off needed no longer... GWS

PACK
Wolf howls in the distance answered by another and another and yes yet another.... Wicked wind whistles through pine trees, blowing clouds into oblivion and revealing a full moon... Furtive shadows on forest floor... A perfect night for the pack to be back. And we know, we are not alone... GWS

BOXED IN

LAST NIGHT
Last night I held your pillow, your perfume lingers there. Last night I lived a memory and stroked invisible hair. Last night I kissed your soft lips, And cupped a perfect breast. Last night I thanked the heavens, lucky to be blessed. To have you lie beside me, to wake and see your smile, To rest my...
