sunday morning

I watched the sunrise over the Pacific this morning: a great orange orb that was quickly swallowed up in the clouds. Threads of golden light broke through and made a bright band in the water out on the horizon. I wrote my morning pages then went for a walk along a coastal boardwalk, along the bluff...
