Fallen

Fallen Today the lovely leaves sadly Covered the ground everywhere The cool gentle rain and the wind More than the fragile stems could bear Though so many have now fallen Many are they still hanging on My mind drifts back to the graveyard That November morn you were gone Though I had seen the day coming Yes the signs were everywhere Still my heart just wasn’t ready I guess I should have been prepared Not seeing longing in your eyes I continued to just hold on But time proved once more it’s so...
