A Silhouette

A Silhouette (echo sonnet) A silhouette still sits by the window Her mind's far away in a distant land Most do not stop to even touch her hand Footsteps in the hall, are not ones she knows All is quiet except for the echoes With her lips she lonesomely hums a song To this place she does not want to belong Footsteps in the hall, are not ones she knows Her eyes are empty, no emotion shows She exists in this place they call a home Except for her Father she is alone Footsteps in the hall, are not...
