A party for four...
Today is probably the last day that Kierstin will be able to play with her new found friend from a couple doors down this summer. He'll be at daycare the next couple of days, we'll be gone most of Wednesday (we're going to the circus), and she leaves on Thursday morning. Secretly, I have bought them...

The count down begins... This really sucks.
Yech. I hate this time of year. It's only a week until Kierstin goes back to her Dad's house. She doesn't want to go, but she doesn't want to stay here and be the "new kid" in school. It's bitter sweet for her. She wants to stay because she loves it here, loves her sisters, and feels at peace with...

What the heck do you feed a diabetic kid?!
You don't realize how ignorant other people are about disease (including myself) until you have it, or one of your kids has it. Since Hayley was diagnosed people keep asking me how I manage to keep a four year old from consuming any sugar. Heh. What?! Come again? How do you keep her from eating any...
