How do you get razor burn from a new razor?

You hear men complain about razor burn all the time, but they have no idea what it is like to have their whole legs burn after shaving. I am tired of being uncomfortable in my own skin. I'm afraid I will pass my body issues on to my three girls. Not a good thing. So, writing and getting all the bad thoughts out is a first step to loving my body, and myself a little bit more.
