My Mom

Every Mother's Day, I try not to cry when I hug my mother. I fail every time. Every time we reach the month of May, it is a milestone for mom. This year marks 10 years of mom being cancer free. In May of 1999, she had tumors throughout her entire body. From her skull to the big bones in her legs. She was given only weeks to live. But the "man upstairs" had another plan. After intense chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant that year, mom has been cancer free for 10 years. It was a beautiful... Sign in to see full entry.
