Oh, What Blessings

Oh, What Blessings The heat was off when my dog and I retrned home. It was after midnight. After two hours, Temp had risen to a chilly forty-six. My dog and I slept well under blankets and comforter. Fear of God

Fear of God The Bible says that the Fear of God is the beginning of Wisdom. Fear God? Are you kidding? Why would one fear one's Loving Parent? The key is in the translation of 'fear'. GOD, Your Lover

GOD, Your Lover God, Is your Lover, not your jailer. Yet, so often, we bust ourselves and, if that is not enough, we then become our own jailer. Shams wants to ask, "How does this dance glorify God? When God Convicts Still feeling guilt and shame from some past poor decision or act? Rest assured, it is not from God. When The Almighty convicts, it is specific, compassionate, and tender even when it feels like a slap upside the head. God convicts to heal and set things right. The devil convicts to ensnare and control. Our response ought to repentance. God wants to restore all who respond in genuine apology. All God asks is the desire to turn around. What's in a Name?

What's in a Name? All God's Names are Sacred and Holy. Does it really matter what we call the Nameless One? Onemight think so, if we listen to one of the great religions. We have murdered one another over these labels for The Holy One. In Arabic speaking countries, Jews, Christians, Muslims, Zoroastrians, and Others all name God, Allah. The speechwriters threw in the phrase because it sounded compassionate. Truth demands a closer look.
