The Greatest Poet in the World

Rumi Lover of Shamsuddin, is recognized by many as the greatest mystical poet yet to appear on earth. For the next few days I will write poems inspired by this great sage. These spiritual window-shoppers, who idly ask, 'How much is that?' Oh, I'm just looking. They handle a hundred items and put them down, shadows with no capital. What is spent is love and two eyes wet with weeping. But these walk into a shop, and their whole lives pass suddenly in that moment, in that shop. Where did you go?... Sign in to see full entry.

Ya Wali Ya Hadi (Oh, Dearest Friend, Oh Guide)

Oh my sweet friend, Closer to me Than my own breath. Oh sweet and loving Guide, Open my Heart That I may Hear Thy Voice. Oh bless me with the abundance To gift all creation With your Light. May vigilance earn her interest This moment And each one to come. And I was Glad When they said unto me, "Let us go Into the House of THE ONE." © 2006, Shamsujim Sign in to see full entry.

Is it possible to be aware of God in every moment?

Who am I really? And what am I doing here? Oh God, let my thought formed self Get out of Thy way, that The The Pure Light of The One Shall surely shine through! Make Me Pure as the Driven Snow, Washed in the Perfect Light of The Sun. Only in Your Constant Presence, Oh, Perfection of Love, Harmony, and Beauty, Can I Serve the Light. Breath by precious Breath, May I decrease That Thou Might Increase! I surrender, In. I surrender, out. The Song of this Perfect Moment Rings clear within And beyond.... Sign in to see full entry.

Cognative Dissonance

My mind has succumbed To the wine of fear. My Heart responds in swift defence, Closing down and pulling in. Thus, protected The flame of Love Remains kindled, Yet, hidden. © 2005 Shamsuddin Sign in to see full entry.

When the Moon Call You Out to Play

When the moon Calls you out to play, Do you stay indoors Afraid of the weather And whether you will suffer? Gazing through pains of glass, You let the lens of your fear Focus a false image of the moon. Let her speak to you now. Step outside and drink in her liquid Light! © 2004 Shams Sign in to see full entry.

What Shall Separate Us?

Is there anything That can separate us From Truth? Any thought? Any action? Any belief or faith? Or is Truth Too big?, Too Simple?, Too Unitary To be ruffled by mere mortals? No matter what their cry. And if tis True That Only Breath Will get you through, Then, Shamsuddin says: "Breathe!" © 2006, Shamsuddin Sign in to see full entry.

The Breeze and Trees

The breeze and trees Begin to dance and play. A Song: 'Getting to Know You' A Response: "Is my joy!" To hold on gently In the very midst of your pain Is honor and privilege Humility, the fame. Crows return A conversation To explain Breeze picks up Traffic down the mountain Toward awakening town, Begins to flow in steadiness. This holy spot of devotion Shall surely carry the day! For now, the day calleth Unto tasks that hold Their purpose. Arise, go into the city! © 2006, Shamsujim§ Sign in to see full entry.
