I Was Afraid Like most, who grew up in the Sixties, Fear was a familiar friend. It shadowed my every choice, Like a gnat, whining in my ear. Fearb never results in the Good. It rests on False Evidence Appearing Real. ***** It is with some shame That I confess: Fear held a permanent seat In my Board Room. It took years of poor decisions To finally oust fear from the Board. ***** Now, I live in harmony With all that God hath wrought. I have no preference Of the moment, Save, to sing God’s praise....
