The Dervishes all came drunk

The Dervishes all came drunk Turning on the joy of their reunion. They sang their blessing Food flowed freely In thanksgiving toward the One. La illah ha ilallah [1] Ishk allah, mabood le’lah [2] So what!?! So this light Dances, smiling, from their eyes. It cannot be contained! The light fills the room, But It cannot be contained. It pours forth from window and door, Now spreading its blessing Like a blanket of love Across all time and space. © 2006 Shamsuddin [1] There is nothing, but God [2]... Sign in to see full entry.
