It's possible I've posed this before, but if I have, it would still be worth the second look. I found this in an early morning light. The flower was struggling to shake its morning dew to get into the morning sun. Sign in to see full entry.

A Painted Sky At Last Light

Finding it hard to concentrate on writing, I've spent the last few days out taking photos. The mosquitoes were out by the millions, but since I take a lot of Vitamin B Complex, they didn't bother me... much. I call this one, "Last Light." This photo was taken a couple of minutes later from about one... Sign in to see full entry.

Wandering the northern forest, you'll find a lot of places that 'collect' water. Sometimes they smell horrid, depending on how long the water has been trapped there and if it has an entrance and egress to allow it to freshen. I fouind this neat little place where there is the smallest of a stream... Sign in to see full entry.

This is a sunset at Teal Lake in Negaunee. The lake is almost completely frozen over, yet there was a heavy moisture in the air, giving me this beautiful glow. This was from March of this year. Sign in to see full entry.

Dollarville Flooding Part Two! Do Part One FIRST!

This part of the journey was along a railroad track that has definitely seen better days. I was told that this set of tracks has been there since the mid 1930's. It looks it. Dollarville Flooding Part One!

It was a beautiful day in the Dollarville Flood refuge, about a mile and a half from my home. It was a good thing I wore my throw away shoes, because I think that's what may happen to them. We were wandering around in the wet areas, and my socks got soaked. I'm going to post several things in this... Sign in to see full entry.

Just a couple of blokes waiting for the A Train, soaking up some rays.I was rather amazed to see a young snapping turtle sharing the log with a red ear turtle, but maybe it was a free zone and all differences were set aside. Sign in to see full entry.

Just For A 'Laugh'

A shot of Laughing Whitefish Falls in the Laughing Whitefish Falls State Park. This place is west of Munising about 40 miles or so. The water drops about 100 feet and makes a 'laughing' noise as it works its way down the rocks. Somewhere, I have a video that illustrates what I mean. A beautiful... Sign in to see full entry.

The Color Purple

In my wanderings, I came across this little purple beauty. I've hit a blank spot in my brain, and can't recall the proper name of the flower. Perhaps some of you might remember it. Sign in to see full entry.

One of my favorite places in the UP is the Seney National Wildlife Refuge. It's within 30 minutes of my home, and is a heaven here on earth. Don't believe it? Look at this sunset shot. It's roughly 150 square miles of beauty. Sign in to see full entry.
