The Real Big Bird

This is another shot from the other day when I saw all of those eagles. I was trying to get closer, but he was having none of it. I was just about ready to take my shots when he took off. I was lucky enough to get this shot just as he was leaving the top of the tree. This was a large adult male, and... Sign in to see full entry.

I'm Just A Rabbit

I took the dogs out for a five mile jaunt and the busted out this rabbit who led them on a long chase. I'm not sure who was having more fun, the dogs or the rabbit. The bunny lead them around in circles at least five times, each time getting closer and closer to me. The dogs were about ten feet... Sign in to see full entry.

Just Another Upper Peninsula Sunset

I may have published this one here at some point, but it's still worth looking at it again. The sun is about to drop below the western horizon on a hot July day. It was muggy with a high amount of moisture in the air, giving up this beautiful color as the last rays of the day reflect through the... Sign in to see full entry.

Just Scenery Today

Nothing 'spectacular' today, just a scenery shot that I love. Traipsing about the Hiawatha National Forest, I see so many things that make me marvel. This is one I call, "The Yellow Brick Road" because I so dearly loved "The Wizard of Oz." Sign in to see full entry.

I probably should have added a bit of darker contrast to this shot as it was taken just shy of full on into the sun, but it looks alright I guess. This is the train tressel over Teaspoon Creek, about two miles down the track from where we normally cross to get to Natalie Lake, about three miles to... Sign in to see full entry.

A Pair of Eagles

Some people will go through their entire life and never see a Bald Eagle. Some people see them once in a great while, but I've been lucky enough to see them a lot up here, but yesterday, I happened to see at least nine different birds, a ' gathering of eagles ' so to speak. It was cold, maybe 36 or... Sign in to see full entry.

Evening Glory

I guess I collect sunset shots is because I was never a morning person, but the evenings are always beautiful here. This is once again out by the Dollarville Flooding zone, about a mile or less from my home. The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) manages the waters and the animals to protect and... It's Magical!

This photo was taken by my friend Kagan from down state. As I was going through his photos, this one (in full size) made me gasp a loud Ohhh!. It kind of made me thing of an entrance to a magical world inhabited only by animals and those special enough to talk to them. Sign in to see full entry.

Get The Wabbit! (Tip of the Hat To Bugs Bunny!)

I went out for my late morning/early afternoon walk and spied this little guy. There is a little snow sticking to the ground and I think he was looking for some goodies before it began to get deep. Sign in to see full entry.

Calling Lucy

Ahhhh... this one always makes me smile. You've heard of the song, "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds?" I call this one "My UP In The Sky With Sunshine." This was one of theose freak situations where the clouds came together in front of someone with a camera... or was it there just for me? Sign in to see full entry.
