Blue Ice Cave On Lake Superior
This was taken in one of the little protrusions of the water line of Lake Superior near Whitefish Point. The lake is constantly sending up wave after wave of water, while the temperature is so cold, it begins to freeze it in the air. You can see the chunks of frozen ice all around the shoreline. Bit...

Kestrel Hawk On The Wing
This was taken totally as a 'quick draw' response. This Kestrel hawk came buzzing in out of nowhere, and I caught him about ten feet above me as he was zooming across the field. This was sheer luck and reflexes that came from taking racing photos down in the infield of the race track, ten feet off...

Frozen Horseshoe Falls
This is Horseshoe Falls, one of the few falls in the UP that is privately owned. The family that owns it is raking in a nice living for allowing visitors at $8 per adult and $4 for kids 4-12. It is located in the eastern side in the city of Munising. This was earlier this week, right after the...

Deer Deer, What Ya Lookin' At?
I was out cleaning up my backyard just before the last big blizzard (you know - the one before the one we are having right now!) because Buster, my big black dog, loves to take things from the house and take them outside so he can play with them when he gets bored. Antique Wind Row Machine In Snow
Somewhere, I have a photo of this same machine, an antique hay 'wind row rake.' That is to say, after you cut the alfalfa down, this machine raked the dried product into a row so they baling machinery could pick it up. This machine was originally built to be pulled by a team of horses. For those...

One Tree - Six Eagles
Here's something you don't see everyday. As I was coming home from Sault Ste. Marie yesterday, I stopped to let my dogs out (yeah, they love to ride in the car) and I spotted this group of young eagles sitting in a tree. They watched the dogs play quite intently, but they weren't worried about them....

Just a couple of young-un's playing in the snow. I don't think they ever heard me until I snapped about four photos.

Just Another Snowy Road
This is one of the back roads that I use to take the dogs out to play. They love running around in this deep snow!

A Saturday Night Special
I've been busy today, so I thought I'd give you a special treat. I got this the other day after the ice storm. This scene was just off a main trail near the Dollarville Flood Zone where I let my dogs run.
