Not to bore you, but more about the Page Publishing thing

I think I mentioned that Richard - the first responder from that self-publishing house in New York City - told me I was a "fabulous author" and that the review team was very impressed with "Bloody Hell and a Slice of Pie." Of course, next phone call, when I asked if he'd read it, he said oh, no, and... Sign in to see full entry.

Nocturnal Visitor

A couple days ago, maybe an hour before sunrise, I was staring out the kitchen window into the dark and fog. The coffee was beginning to process next to me, taking far too long. Still half groggy from sleep - not sleeping - sleep - not sleeping, a darker shadow caught my eye. It had materialized on... Sign in to see full entry.

Thursday's Memoir Writing Group

I was on time getting to The Center, ran off seven copies of the handout, picked up the sign-in sheet and set up in the classroom. Things were prepped and ready, a couple of the writers were in the room set aside as a re-sale 'boutique' doing a bit of shopping. And there were eight at the conference... Commercials that bug me

The Breyers Ice Cream folks have a commercial running now, where a mom and dad meet in the dark kitchen after little Tommy has gone to bed. They get out bowls and spoons and dig into a carton of gelato indulgences. The light flips on and little Tommy stands there in his pajamas, "Is that ice cream?... Sign in to see full entry.

This 'n That - (it's gelato, not ice cream. You wouldn't like it.)

Ever heard the saying "when it rains, it pours?" There was the little girl with an umbrella on the Morton's Salt box (it's still a box if it's a cylinder isn't it?) but I'm talking about the way we're either bored out of our gourds and looking for something interesting to do, or we're hopping on... OK, here's what happened.

Colton Winfield is an entitled, self-involved, paste-for-brains guy who can't take a hint. He was fired from the DOJ for sending confidential files to WhiteEarth, Inc. - an offense that was both dangerously stupid and treasonous. Joy Herring is a tech-savvy, well trained undercover agent for the... Sign in to see full entry.

More intrigue...

Joy had gone with Colton Winfield on five dates, mostly midweek, dinner at a family- oriented restaurant. If it hadn’t become a part of her assignment she’d have blown him off the second time he asked her out. She couldn’t imagine why anyone at the agency was interested in the incompetent little... Just a bit of Monday intrigue...

The first time Colton Winfield came across Joy Herring he thought she was a mess. Pony tails, owlish glasses, baggy tee shirt over cargo pants. She had a large tattoo on her left forearm and wore high-top Converse shoes. They’d never allow a young lady to present herself that way at SCI. She was a... Sign in to see full entry.

I'm sorry. I didn't get my Blogit posting done...

I hope y'all had a pleasant Easter with great weather, lots of chocolate bunnies and good talks with family about the old days, and how we spent Easter in the long ago. Son Rusty turned 55 today, Rich had turned 54 on the 21st, so for about a week, my "Irish" twins were the same age. We three had... Sign in to see full entry.

Lights, but no camera, no action

I've got a pet peeve to grieve today something that's none-a-my biz but nevertheless it is just blowing me away... It seems the Johnsons, down the street have got a deal that's mighty sweet from the local electric company, right? They burn their yard lights every night. When I get up at twelve, two...
