Mother’s Secret

A Girl? Another Girl? You’re wrong, you’re wrong! Take this Child away, away Take it away, I say, away What have I to do with Her, anyway? It should have been a fine boy He would have been, like Him, Like Him I love, Brother O’ Brother now gone. What do I with this Girl? I’ve got a girl, I have already Blonde and Blue eyed A Boy, ah, a boy would have been a prize I could have loved a Son, Like my Brother Brother O’ Brother now gone.
