Santa's Helpers
Where are Santa's helpers when it comes time to put up and take down the Christmas tree? In truth, this is the help I really need this time of the year. Well, that and someone to shrink some of my living room furniture so I can stow it in the cupboard, so we have a place for the Christmas tree. It...

The Winner for Most Interesting Submission Rejection Letter
This is truly and sincerely a rejection letter that I received yesterday. The publisher name, I shall keep private, because frankly, now that I think about it, I'm embarassed for ever even submitting there. On the other hand, it did earn me this. **** Subject line: Dear John Dear Betsy, Baby, it's...

Living With Stupidity
I don't know which is harder to do, live with the stupidity of others or one's own stupidity. The sad thing is stupidity surrounds us. We hear everything from dumb ass questions like "What's for dinner?" from perfectly healthy teenagers with two working eyes and a nose who happens to be standing...

What Not To Do
The first rule of thumb when leaving a full-time career to become a stay at home mother is never, ever, ever tell anyone. The Point of Gloves
I am not sure why I purchase gloves for my children. They never seem to have a pair when they really need them, like today when there is six inches of snow on the ground and the temperature is cold enough to freeze the snot in your nose. It couldn't have been more than six weeks ago when I went...
