The Cat That Wouldn't Leave

She came to us four-weeks-old. A shelter cat born a few hours before her mother died of a respiratory virus that was running rampant throughout the shelter. Margo, the shelter coordinator and head of the local Humane Society, hoped to save her and her two sisters by removing them from the infected... Sign in to see full entry.

Leaps and Bounds

Geez, I stop posting for a few weeks, come back and take a look at my account, and wow. I'm making more money staying away. True, about half of it is probably referrals from a link on my website, but the rest... Who is paying me to stay away? Or have you guys started a fund for my missing doggie? By... When things go bad

Like the war isn't bad enough, fate has decided I need a few personal issues to screw with my life. So, here it goes: My dog, the one critter I can always depend on to love me no matter what escaped from the yard and has been gone for two days. It rained last night. I wonder if he found a warm place... Sign in to see full entry.

2/21/03 Entertainment Weekly

I make it a point not to read my husband's Entertainment Weekly. He reads it in the bathroom--how appropriate. But, this week, I was stuck in the car waiting for my son, again, with nothing to read but EW and the gas bill. I try never to look at my bills during daylight hours. There were two tidbits... Surveys that Pay

For the past two years, I have participated in survey groups for NFO World Group. Normally the surveys are less than 10 minutes in length. For each survey you take, you earn points. Where Did All The Time Go?

It ocurred to me today that the days are getting shorter. When I worked out of the home all day, I did amazing things with a 24-hour period. I commuted 40-minutes each way, maintained the accounting for a multi-million dollar organization, handled the accounting for a chartible foundation, found... Sign in to see full entry.

Revenge is the Best Medicine

Over the ages, the act of revenge has gone from a sacred way of life to an act of which to be ashamed and avoid. I disagree. A little clean, honest, LEGAL revenge can be just the thing to help you forgive and forget at least some of the indiscretions whether imagined or real that have been committed... Parenting Teens: The Future

In the future, parents won't send their teenagers off to summer camp or junior high. The states come up with a better plan. On a child's 12 1/2 birthday, Mom and Dad would help him pack his bag and take him to the local Adolescent Processing Center. I am not sure why they had to pack a bag, perhaps... Hit Counter

Thanks to a comment on my last post, I tried the hit counter trick again. Interested? First, sign up for a free counter at site like Bravenet. Set up counter and copy code.
