Boys’ day!

It is Children’s day, more specifically Boys’ day in Japan on 5 th May. (I will be away for a few days, hence this snippet in advance!) Families with sons raise a bamboo pole on the roof or yard, and fly a hollow cloth or paper streamers shaped like a carp. This fish is a symbol of strength, courage... Sign in to see full entry.
