An End Run Around McCain-Feingold Campaign Financing Reform
Heads up people -- The House Administration Committee is considering exempting Internet campaigning (advertising) from current law. While McCain-Feingold might not have been the ultimate solution, there are more safeguards in place now than previously, and exempting Internet activity would be a huge leap backwards. No "soft money" but lots of "cyber money"? I don't THINK so. -- Time to email your elected reps in DC. Campaign financing needs additional improvement, NOT additional loopholes.

The Wrath of God?
It occurs to me that if Clinton was still President during all these disasters, floods, war, et al, the Christian Right would be ranting about how God is paying us back. So who do be blame when the Republicans are (over)running the country?

Too Hot -- Gettin' Out of Town
Gee-Dubs was like the ground hog from hell after Katrina and everytime you turned around he was popping up. Then he preached to all of us, the unwashed masses, to cut fuel consumption. So we the UWM fired back and suggested he keep Air Force One, the associated cargo carriers and helicopters on the ground and let those in charge of emergency assistance do their jobs (or whatever we should call that effort).
