Presidential Signing Statements (for Blanche) "Heil Bush !!"
(This post was prompted by Blanche’s concern regarding Presidential Signing Statements. NOTE: Signing statements are statements added to bills passed by Congress, and not vetoed by Bush rather he signs the bills, to which he then adds a ‘signing statement’ which becomes part of the federal record. These statements indicate he does not feel compelled to work within the confines of the law, rather, because “we are at war” he can use his war powers, and details areas he feels do not effect him as...
