I can't keep Fish or Plants alive!

What does that say about me? My little angel Bee, who I have mentored for the past few years, eats too much. I feed her everytime I am with her because when I was young we didn't have a lot of food, and to me, food is a source of security and comfort. Bee is thirteen and has high blood pressure.... All I Want for Christmas

Snow in Florida??? We may have a white Christmas. The first since 1993. I'm not going to get excited just yet. I'm one of those people who believes that Christmas just isn't Christmas without snow. I'm also of the notion that if it's cold, well then it better snow. Drinking hot cocoa when you have... Sign in to see full entry.

Red Snapper, A Twenty-One Year Hottie, The Hard Escape, Falling Down Stairs

& Running into Rearview Mirrors called friends???? Well, I didn't drink cosmos, or long island ice teas. This is what I drank for girls night out: An Amarreto sour, a Malibu Bay Breeze, a Whoo Whoo shot, a Red Snapper, and Crown and Coke. No beer...otherwise I would have joined all the other beer... I'm not a girl, I'm a sophisticated lady

-so the idea of throwing back a few beers, well it doesn't interest me. Not even for the sake of a party and loud music. I don't mind throwing back a few when I'm watching, say, the Braves play. I don't mind a cold beer when I have a plate of deep pan pizza staring at me through melted cheese. But... Sign in to see full entry.

Mistletoe, Fish, and Rum Balls

We have mistletoe above our kitchen doorway. One would think a handsome guy would like to peg me under the doorway for a kiss. My brother and I avoid walking into the kitchen at the same time. We're not much of a huggy and kissy family, although we always say "I love you." We say "I love you" even... Sign in to see full entry.

Ever Notice How Those in the Blog-it Top Ten

aren't necessarily good writers. So what gives? What's the mysterious recipe for keeping things hot off the press? Top bloggers exude charm, have something interesting to say, and are often popular. A right combination of wit, charm, and za za zu go into making a blogger number one. You have to be... Sign in to see full entry.

Gnomes, A wish for World Peace, & True Love

I love Christmas. I love the purity and innocence of a holiday so full of giving and getting. Last Christmas I was in love with a beautiful man. A man who didn't love me in return. I always thought you could love someone so much that their lack of love and interest would hardly be noticeable. I was... Sign in to see full entry.

So Much to Say ...

So Little Time. I don't have a phone or computer hooked up at my house yet. Working full time and moving takes a lot out of a person, however I am feeling very creative and want to write but have no time. More than anything...I want to stay home and write. I think people who get to work from home... Sign in to see full entry.

No More Yellow Walls.

-I've erased them from memory. Now my bathroom burns copper. Bright & vivid. Warm & rich. Textured. And here I thought the yellow was a bold statement. I've framed old newspaper clipping from the 1920's. Reprints. They line the bathroom wall so that when people are on the toilet they have reading... Sign in to see full entry.

Where Have I Been?

Well there are walls, paint, dirty clothes, & tongues involved. My house is shaping up into a cozy dwelling. A cave of comfort. I bought french pastries and a beautiful teapot. I want to curl around comfort, drink in the fumes of my abode, seek creativity in the confines of small tattered places,... Sign in to see full entry.
