Geez You Bloggers Are Harsh!
I can't believe it. Well I guess I can, but still, it's not that I'm a bad person. I just take off and not post for what? 4 days? And I come back to find my blog about to slip off the charts and into no man's land. That's harsh my friends! Actually, I want to thank all the bloggers who left me such...

Looking At The Others
Here in the library, where I am writing this, I sit in the south window. I look out over the hills to the mountains and the moods they have. I also can look into the big windows of the YMCA and see all the Saturday fitness folks running, cycling, grunting and sweating. I am exercising here too,...

Have You Ever Written a Blog And Not Posted It?
I wrote a whole post this morning, I was all ready to hit Save & Post but my finger stalled. I just couldn't do it. It was too personal, and the person I was writing about would never have the chance to tell their side of my story, a person who I love, and would hurt if they had read what I had...

Seven Hundred Blogs Later... Have I Run Out of Things to Say?
I have to admit that more than once I have sat down here and wondered if I had anything more to write that anyone would want to read here on Blogit. I just ticked over and am now into the 700's for number of blogs written. When I came back last year after taking a few months off I vowed that I would...

Healing the Sick, Raising the Nearly Dead
“ I'm not dead yet!” I think that is the line that made me laugh so hard in the The Meaning of Life. (but if I got it wrong – blame it on the flu) Today is healing day. We are drinking lots of fluids and I am sedating the kids with TV in an effort to get better. As for the dead (or nearly dead) part...

I Wonder What That Says About Me?
I have been happily puttering around with my music collection lately (since I got my MP3 player) transferring my CDs to the computer. As I have been working through the process I have rediscovered some songs that I loved and don't listen to as much anymore. Songs that I played over and over until...

Are We Ever Too Old To Love A New Toy?
I got something for Christmas that can only be described as a toy. It wasn't something I needed, it was something I wanted, and when I got it in my greedy little hands I wanted to leave the kids to their present opening and go play. But of course I didn't do that, because I'm supposed to be a...

Shoebox Full of Memories and Inspiration
Well I finally got the first post to my travel blog up( With a Maple Leaf on my Backpack ). And yesterday I found an old battered shoebox full of photos that will help me tell the stories of my outdoor adventures. My head was so full of images and ideas when I went to sleep last night that I woke up...

Hap-Hap-Hap-AH-Choo! Year!
Well I have certainly had more boring New Year's Eves, and I wish I had one last night. Poor Emily, who is two and weighs 35 pounds (half of which is mucus right now I'm sure) couldn't sleep last night. She kept waking and calling for Mommy. The Man of My Dreams and I had our New Year's toast at...

That's It – Christmas Is Over
Having the Incredible Mucus Baby arrive in the house didn't leave much room for the Christmas Spirit. So today we are going to take down the tree and shift some of the sea of plastic toys upstairs into the girls' rooms. At least taking down the tree should provide Emily with some stimulation and...
