About this Blog

There are only a few genres of discussion that I think it truly worthwhile for me (anyone?) to engage in. The questions over 'the meaning of it all' have driven philosophy and intellectual discourse from the moment humankind has been able to communicate, I suspect. Here in the 21st century - such topics seem to have fallen by the wayside - whereas in my opinion, they are as pertinent as ever - and whether you like it or not - your position on it informs how you live the rest of your life. This is not to advocate any pat conclusions ('Religious people are morally good') - as such generalisations never hold. We live in a complicated world. I feel strongly that we should be engaging in discussions (and arguments) over topics such as these. Let the games begin... (N.B. I may not get to post/update here as regularly as standard blogging etiquette would seem to require - I hope to be able to visit here a few times a week at least. Please be patient if it seems that I've 'disappeared')
