When to walk away

I sat here asking myself why didn't I leave.Love makes us do funny things,stupid things realy.Yeah,why didn't I leave.When my heart was broke,my pride his joke,when in a drunken rage you destroyed my home.When I went to the hospital,my things began to disappear so you could buy beer.Why didn't I... Could it get much worse? I asked myself when the bills were late and I'd lost my job. When I was freezing in the streets without a home. As I laid a rose on my Grandfathers grave and the family went to war over their fare share. Over lovers lost and promises broke. When everyone said my dreams were a joke. I asked that question more times than I can count and every answer was the same. Every tear fell just as wet ,every moment I thought was the end and could bare no more.
